In order to improve the successful rate of intergenerational succession, the successor needs to have rich knowl?edge and skills as well as work experience. The creation and development of new business in existing companies can pro?vide a number of opportunities for the successors to exercise and experience, so it is a very effective way for intergenera?tional succession. We should attach great importance to nine key elements in order to ensure the smooth and efficient inter?generational transition process, which are communication, foundation, consensus, collaboration, cultivation, optimiza?tion,feature,growth and new business. According to the close internal logic relations among these elements,the nine-ele?ment model of intergenerational succession of family business with unique characteristics,which is based on the creation of new business,is constructed.
