The article expounds the importance of reactive power optimization of substations in rural power distribution network. Meanwhile, it points out that the reactive power control strategy of substations in rural power distribution network is lacking of overall concept, and base on this, it makes the method of parameter tuning of twenty-one district circuit diagram. The control strategy strengthens the coordination control between power distribution network of transformers' sides under extreme running, it can be used as useful complement to the normal operation mode.
