Siemens PLC was used to achieve cascade control of union station’s heating furnace temperature. Through analyzing the characteristics of heating furnace control system,the water jacket’s temperature was taken as vice-variable and the crude oil’s exit temperature as main-variable;and PLC was used to implement proportional control over the water jacket temperature and to achieve proportional integral control over the oil exit temperature. The control system’s hardware and software composition as well as a touch screen’s interface were introduced.
