Heroin dependence can be considered as a loss of control heroin taking,or compulsive heroin-seeking and taking despite horrendous consequences.Recent studies considered that heroin dependence was influenced by multiple factors,such as psychological factors,social environment and genetic factors.Genetic epidemiological studies indicated that genetic factors play a large role in heroin dependence,and this review is about research progress of genes correlated with heroin dependence.
