Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is the most common respiratory diseases,and its exact pathogcnesis is unclear.Evidence shows that oxidant / antioxidant imbalance might play an important role in the disease.Oxidative damage is one of the important pathogenesis of COPD.Recent research progress of oxidant / antioxidant imbalance pathogenesis in COPD is reviewed in this article.
