COPD是一种异质性疾病,有或者没有肺外表现,且疾病进展、治疗效果及预后不尽相同,仅仅用FEV1来描述其异质性是远远不够的,需要一个能在临床上更加符合疾病发展及预后评估的标准.于是便引出了COPD表型的概念,通过COPD患者临床表现、加重频率、疾病进展、治疗的有效性及预后等研究,将疾病分成几个亚型,每个亚型均有各自特征,根据这些特征来采取针对性或个性化治疗,使诊疗更具有效性.炎症在COPD疾病发生和发展中有着重要的作用,COPD的全身炎症表型已被列为一个单独的亚型,而其在COPD诊断、治疗及预后评估中的价值仍有待更进一步研究.

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a heterogeneous disease,with extrapulmonary performance or not,its progression,therapeutic effect and prognosis was different.FEV1 used to describe this heterogeneity was inadequate,thus a clear criterion which can be more in line with the clinic outcomes and prognosis assessment of COPD is urgently needed.Recently,increasing studies have proposed that " COPD phenotypes" divided COPD patients into several subtypes via identifying symptoms,exacerbations,rate of disease progression,response to therapy and prognosis.Identification of these chractristics and adopt targeted or individualized treatment for COPD can guide therapy more effectively.Inflammation plays an important role in COPD,"Systemic inflammatory phenotype" has been accepted as a separate subtype,while,the significances in clinical diagnosis and treatment as well as prognosis of COPD remains to be further researched.
