Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a kind of chronic inflammatory diseases,its development is a progressive course,it is expected to become the third leading cause of death by 2020.Complications of COPD are paid more and more attentions with the understanding of this disease.Cognitive impairment is one of its complications which can impact the patients' health level and ability of daily living.Based on relevant documents,the pathogenesis of cognitive impairment in patients with COPD is summarized as follow.
