IL-24是研究黑色素瘤分化相关基因-7(mda-7)产物命名的一类新型细胞因子；IL-24在多种细胞中表达,诱导分泌IL-6、TNF-α、IFN-γ等细胞因子.IL-24通过“旁观者效应”、“自噬作用”等生物学效应诱导肿瘤细胞凋亡,抑制肿瘤血管生成,抑制肿瘤细胞转移从而实现抗肿瘤的目的.IL-24还具有增强肿瘤细胞放疗敏感性和协同化疗药抗肿瘤的特性,因而对其进行深入地研究具有临床的应用价值.

Interleukin-24 (IL-24) is a novel cytokine which was named after the study of melanoma differentiation associated gene-7 (mda-7).IL-24 is expressed in a variety of cells and induces the secretion of cytokines,such as IL-6,TNF-α and IFN-γ.Moreover,the ability of mda-7/IL-24 to induce tumor cell apoptosis,inhibiting angiogenesis and metastasis to achieve anti-tumor through cancer-specific killing effect of "bystander","autophagy".IL-24 has been found to display anti-tumor properties to enhance the sensitivity of radiotherapy and synergy with chemotherapy drugs.
