牙周炎是一种多基因复杂疾病,尽管牙菌斑是该病的始动因子,但不同个体对于菌斑微生物的反应程度不同,因而不同个体对牙周炎的易感性也有所差异.Toll样受体(TLR)是一种重要的模式识别受体,在宿主对病原微生物的免疫反应当中起着重要的作用.近年来有很多关于TLR基因多态性与牙周炎的研究,但其结果存在人群和种族差异.

Periodontitis is a complex and polygenic diseases.Despite the plaque is the initiating factors of the disease,individuals have different reactions to the pathogenic bacteria,and they may also have different susceptibility to periodontitis.Toll-like receptors is a kind of important pattern recognition receptors,and play an important role in the host immune response to pathogenic microorganisms.In recent years,there are many studies about the role of toll-like receptor gene polymorphism in periodontitis,but the results are always inconformity across the different populations or races.The research progress of relationship between periodontitis and the toll-like receptor single nucleotide polymorphisms are reviewed.
