硒蛋白S(SelS)即Tanis/SEPS1/VIMP是一种跨膜蛋白,在组织中广泛表达,是糖调节蛋白家族中的一员,可保护细胞免受内质网应激损伤,对胰岛β细胞和内皮细胞具有抗氧化保护作用;其作为血清淀粉样蛋白A的受体参与炎性反应,并与血糖、胰岛素抵抗、血脂水平相关.SelS基因多态性与糖尿病和心、脑血管疾病有关,故可能成为防治上述疾病的新靶点.

Selenoprotein S (SelS),known as Tanis,SEPS1 and VIMP,is a transmembrane protein and widely expressed in tissues.It belongs to the glucose-regulated protein family.SelS could protect cells against endoplasmic reticulum stress,and mediate anti-oxidative protection to islet β cells and endothelium.As a receptor for serum amyloid A,SelS is involved in inflammation and related to blood glucose,insulin resistance,and serum lipid.The gene polymorphisms of SelS are associated with diabetes,cardiovascular diseases,and cerebrovascular diseases.SelS is a potentially therapeutic target of the above diseases.
