宿主对皮肤癣菌感染的免疫反应包括先天性免疫和获得性免疫(体液免疫和细胞免疫).角质形成细胞通过表达各种不同的模式识别受体,中性粒细胞通过吞噬作用和呼吸作用爆发产生的氧化代谢产物(如超氧阴离子等)完成细胞内外的杀菌作用,参与先天性免疫反应.在获得性免疫反应中,细胞免疫反应或体液免疫反应的优势,决定了临床表现和感染后结果,可能导致疾病自愈或者慢性化.普遍公认的是,细胞介导的免疫反应控制皮肤癣菌感染.同时毛癣菌属可作为抗原,表现出独特的免疫特性即诱导Ⅰ型或者Ⅳ型超敏反应.

Immune responses to dermatophyte infection include both innate and adaptive immune response,and the adaptive immune response involves both humoral and cellular immune response.Both keratinocytes,which express a variety of pattern recognition receptors,and neutrophils,which exert antifungal activity inside and outside cells via phagocytosis and oxidization products (such as superoxide anion) in respiration burst,are involved in the innate immune response.The predominance of cellular or humoral immune response determines the clinical manifestations and outcomes of dermatophyte infection,which may spontaneously heal or become chronic.The currently accepted view is that cell-mediated immune response is responsible for the control of dermatophytosis.Moreover,Trichophyton may serve as an antigen with distinct immune capabilities to induce immediate hypersensitivity (IH) or delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) in different individuals.
