Objective To explore the the application of a new technology-known as digital pen and paper (DPP)-can transform the information paper-based into digital information which can be stored,retrieved and analyzed by computer in clinic nursing activities.Methods The technological principle,characteristic and pattern of the DPP were deeply analyzed.Meanwhile,the application scenario of DPP in clinic nursing activities and the mainly disadvantage was described in an orderly and reasonably manner.Results In clinic nursing practice,we can apply the DPP technology for improving the convenience,accuracy and efficiency of the clinic information acquisition.Conclusions DPP can dramatically improve the efficiency by eliminating time-consuming paperwork and optimizing the clinic nursing workflow.
