目的 观察补充叶黄素对长时间暴露于强光下的职业人群视功能的影响.方法 选取40例从事电焊工作的正常人纳入研究,随机分为叶黄素干预组和安慰剂对照剂组.干预组每日口服叶黄素20 mg,持续12周.对照组服用安慰剂.检测视力、血清叶黄素含量、黄斑色素密度值、对比敏感度及眩光敏感度,分析补充叶黄素对长期曝光职业人群黄斑色素密度与视功能相关指标的影响.结果 干预组矫正视力有升高趋势,差异无统计学意义(tV1=1.729,tV2=1.645,tV3=1.559,P>0.05).干预组与对照组相比,血清叶黄素含量(t=2.649,P<0.01)及中央黄斑色素密度(F=3.48,p=0.041)有明显升高,对比敏感度及眩光敏感度明显升高(tCS =2.684,tGS =2.815,P<0.05).结论 补充叶黄素对长时间光暴露职业人群黄斑色素密度及视功能有保护作用,尤其体现在对暗光照环境下对比敏感度及眩光敏感度的保护,可考虑作为职业保护的补充手段.

Objective To examine the influence of lutein supplementation on visual performance in healthy occupational population with long-term light exposure.Methods The study was a randomized,placebo-controlled,12-week intervention study.40 normal subjects (welder) were recruited.The Active (A) group consumed 20 mg of lutein daily.Subjects were assessed at baseline,one,four,and twelve weeks (V0,V1,V2 and V3,respectively),including visual acuity,serum lutein concentrations,macular pigment optical density (MPOD) and visual performance.Results There was a trend (in the Active group) towards an increase in visual acuity,but there were no significant differences.Serum lutein and central MPOD in the Active group increased significantly,whereas no change was observed in the Placebo group.We observed significant increases in the contrast sensitivity and glare sensitivity,especially on mesopic condition in the Active group.Conclusion Daily supplementation with 20 mg of lutein increases MPOD levels and visual performance.Lutein may benefit the occupational population with long-term light exposure.
