补体系统生物学活性包括细胞毒、溶菌、杀菌、调理、免疫黏附、中和并溶解病毒和炎性介质的作用,主要通过经典、替代、凝集素3种途径被激活.糖尿病视网膜病变(DR)是糖尿病常见的并发症之一,是发达国家和地区工作人群中首位致盲性疾病,其发生机制尚未完全明了.目前有大量研究结果表明,补体系统的活化与DR的发病过程有着密切联系,这将为DR的预防和治疗提出新的研究思路.

The biological activities of complement system,which are activated mainly through classical pathway,alternative pathway and mannose-binding lectin pathway,include cytotoxicity,bacteriolysis,sterilization,cell regulation,immune adherence,neutralization and dissolution of virus and inflammatory mediators.It is well known that diabetic retinopathy(DR)is one of the common complications of diabetes mellitus and is the leading cause of blindness among working-age adults in the developed countries and regions,but the mechanism underling its pathogenesis is not yet fully understood.Until now,numbers of studies showed that the activation of complement system is involved in the pathogenesis of DR.Naturally,these finding paves a way for the prevention and treatment of DR in the future.
