The purpose of this artical is to make authors and readers master some writing and reading skills by elaborating the definition,characteristics,the comparison of style and writing technique of expert commentary.Expert commentary is journal editorial that is not only author's personal point of view,but also the collective opinions of Ophthalmology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association and editorial board of the magazine.Therefore,it should be view clear,clear-cut stand and having certain academic orientation.It is our common responsibility to promote the academic development of ophthalmology in China,by mobilizing various aspects strength,carefully written and read expert commentary.
