For the purpose to meet the demand of making super-thick blanks for the generator rotors of large nuclear, thermal and water power equipment, a modified and optimized cutting machine able to cut up to the thickness of 3 100 mm is made on the basis of the gas cutting process experiment that analyses the effect of elements, oxygen and gas pressure and flow, and cutting process on the flame cutting of parts with large thickness. The cutting quality is good.
