大秦线运量逐年递增,运营模式不断变化,站场改造不断进行.根据湖东编组站运营实践看,运营模式和站场设备仍不够匹配.创建合理的重载运输编组站站场,需要把握以下几点:重载车辆运用模式与编组场的设置,车辆检修模式与检修所(线)的设置,机车交路与机车走行线和整备线的设置,开行的列车种类与到发线的设置等.意在探寻重载运输合理的运营模式与站场设计,建议重载列车编组站应实行固定循环车底和整列检修模式,站场结构可设为二级三场形式(横列2个场为上下行或空重车场,纵向1个场为综合场,并合理配置车辆检修库线、调车线、机车站整线和救援列车线).
