The paper reviews a variety of conventional welding methods in recent years, and introduces in detail the technical characteristics of friction welding, friction stir welding, diffusion bonding and brazing between aluminium alloy and steel. It indicates the disadvantages of the welding methods in practical production and prospects the research direction of welding the two materials.
