语言符号与所指之间存在象似性,其排列顺序反应了人们认知外在世界的顺序.英汉短语、句子和语篇都体现了语言的顺序象似性.英汉词和短语在时间、空间、思维视点和文化观念上的顺序象似性基本趋同.在句法层面,英汉语句的基本结构具有相同顺序,而状语的顺序排列上又存在一定的不同.英汉语篇也都表现出顺序象似性,但总的来说,汉语的顺序象似性高英语.英汉语言的顺序象似性证实了人类在认知层面上思维方式的趋同性.
