The evaluation index and energy-saving index are determined on the basis of simulation calculation analysis of LED road lamps and the current LED road lamp application. Moreover, the concept of LPDE that can meet the road lighting requirements in terms of main technical parameters and energy-saving evaluation index is also put forward. Comparison between the LED road lamp and sodium lamp for the energy-saving performance is made and the energy-saving measures and prospects of the LED road lamp are analyzed.
