In this paper, on the basis of analyzing the traditional experimental characteristics of college courses, virtual instrument is introduced to the experiments of automotive detection technology course, examples are gave, the virtual experiment and traditional experiment are compared to prove the superiority of virtual instrument in the experimental teaching.
