The Sveriges Riksbank Prize in Economic Sciences in Memory of Alfred Nobel for 2012 was awarded to Alvin E. Roth and Lloyd S. Shapley for the theory of stable allocations and the practice of market design. The paper analyzed the theoretical background of two scholars, made a brief introduction of the theory revolution and practice about the stable alloca-tions and the market design, and provided some special remarks. The two scholars’ distribution promoted lots of successful redesign of important practical markets. We can expect that this area will continually grow up and have a good prospect. Re-search fellows in China should tail after and study the theory in this area.
