Due to their rich and colorful contents and manifestations, the traditional residences have aroused plenty of concern from scholars. The course—“Research on Traditional Residences” has chosen Liu Jiaqiao ancient dwellings as the place for its practice and field study, because it is a representative of ancient dwellings in Xianning City of Hubei Province, This paper has made detailed analysis as well as professional investigations of Liu Jiaqiao ancient dwellings, and it has also brought unmeasurable value to the students.
