A new innovative process is put forward in this paper, in which silica is extracted firstly from high alumina fly ash by alkaline solution at low temperature, then high effective dry sintering process is used for alumina production from the silica-extracted residues, and finally low caustic residue from the sintering will be fully utilized for construction materials. The use of process can realize full resource utilization of fly ash without any solid disposal, having the advantages of energy saving and lower production cost, which is expected to become a key process for alumina production with high alumina fly ash and other high added-value products. Now pilot-plant test has been completed and its industrialization will be realized soon.
