Based on PROFIBUSDP and suitable configuration software and other network communication technology,a control system was constructed for FMS. The net information of each branch was collected and the various RACES actions were coordinated by PROFIBUSDP. So the integrated control of the FMS was realized. The machine center,CNC lathe,welding robots and material units were made as a organic whole. The overall plan and working process of the FMS were introduced,and the design of the control system was illustrated. The actual operation proves that the system has good reliability and flexibility.
