A new type of rotor structure of permanent magnet motor was introduced. The dovetail groove in the external circular surface of the rotor was machined,and the dovetail groove was staggered in distribution. The alnico magnets were inserted into the dovetail groove piecewise outside the rotor,and the end was fixed with a retaining ring. Convenient installation and fixing were made by this structure of magnets,and the accident of the magnets falling off was avoided. The operation stability of the motor is effectively improved by the piecewise staggered distribution of magnets,and the vibration and noise of the motor are reduced.
