In the trial experiments of glue box by FDM, this paper explores effects of model placement ways to parts forming and also effects of point reduce tolerance to forming speed and forming quality. It points out that we should take the costs, rapidity, precision and other aspects into account and select the model placement ways neatly and appropriate parameter values of point reduce tolerance in the actual model making.
