The Edong Highway Bridge over the Changjiang River with a 926 m main span is a hybrid girder cable-stayed bridge with its side span being a concrete beam and mid-span being a steel box girder. According to the structural characteris-tics of the bridge, the effect on the bridge geometry and stress by closure conditions and different closure schemes is analyzed, and the construction scheme of loading closure is finally decided. This paper introduces the specific process, key technology and implementation effect of the closure process, providing references for same types of bridges.
