The paper studies the limitations and suggestions of the services for patients that supplied by the specialist hospital libraries. The limitations mainly include the places,the people,the technology,the capital and the management,et al;the suggestions mainly include that changing the hospitals’ideas, cracking the place constraints problem,expanding and strengthening the workforce,importing some advanced technology and equipment,increasing the financial input,improving the internal management system,improving the service mode content,and changing the patient’s thinking and understanding,so as to ensure the healthy and long-term development of the specialty hospitals.
