It is paid more attention on landscape planting with the development of Ecology. At the same time, the planting spaces become subject of the research. This paper introduces the space and the planting spaces,analyses the characteristics of the planting spaces and various planting spaces as well as its application in residential area. In the paper, Royal Garden is taken as an example, the author analysis its image of planting space including district, path, Landmark , node and boundary. At last, the general form is put forward to form the image of planting in residential area.
