With the method of literature, the paper studies the development of Wushu and the animation as the media development background emerging. Combined with the development of Wushu and the animation itself and the characteristics of the times, the study finds that Wushu cartoon is the product of the new era, with the distinct characteristics of nation and times. Cultural connotation, the actual content and form of animation applied to the development of Wushu are pointed out, and the study finds that it is important to highlight the beneficial effects of animation for Chinese Wushu development. The study tries to find the potential of animation in Chinese Wushu culture, combined its shortcomings and perspectives, hopes to improve the development of Wushu.
