This article deals with the professions-oriented objectives for education in colleges of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. It first argues the concept of effctively training application -oriented chemical talents with solid knowledge, versatile abilities and skilled and comprehesnsive capabilites, then explores the research teaching models for education under the credit system, and finally discusses characteristics of the teaching strategies of overall design, staged measures, and exerting strenghths.
