In this paper, we summarized the recent research progresses on obtaining cucurbitaceous haploid through un-pollinated ovary culture, and analyzed the factors affecting the culture, such as the stage of explants, genotype, temperature pretreatments, auxin and so on. And we also discussed the existing problems and prospects of adopting the un-pollinated ovary culture method to obtain cucurbitaceous haploid.
