种业是国家战略性和基础性核心产业,武汉具有发展现代农作物种业的科技优势、地理优势和产业优势,但也存在着供种保障能力不足、企业规模不大、基础设施薄弱和监管体系不健全等问题.武汉应抓住国家和省市高度重视种业发展的机遇,把武汉打造成国家级种业中心,形成种业产业集群;重点按“一城五中心”进行空间布局,大力发展种业总部经济、种业生产加工经济、种业物流经济、种业会展经济和种业服务经济,并建立相应的保障措施.

Seed industry is the strategic and basic core industry of China. Wuhan has advantages of science and technology, geographic position and enterprises to develop modern crop seed industry. But there are problems such as insufficient seed supply ability, small enterprise scales, weak infrastructure facilities and imperfect supervision system which hindered the development of seed industry seriously. Wuhan should grasp the chance of the country and Hubei province attaching great importance to the development of seed industry to construct a national seed development center and seed industrial cluster. Based on the spatial distribution of "one city, five centers" seed industrial development plan, Wuhan should vigorously develop headquarters economy, production and processing economy, logistics economy, exhibition economy and service economy of seed industry, and take appropriate measures to ensure the implementation of the seed industrial development plan.
