With the development of industrial production, the consumption of energy resources is increasing. The energy saving and consumption reduction have become one of hot topics in the world. How to optimize energy saving design is a question that must be carefully considered in project construction. In this paper, taking chemical engineering construction project as the research object, from several aspects of technology, equipment, construction, water supply and drainage, power supply, overall layout , management and so on , some problems about the energy saving and consumption reduction in chemical design stage were discussed.
