Absract:With the development of the civil aviation industry, the traditional A/C mode secondary radar is difficult to meet the needs of air traffic control (ATC), the S mode secondary radar is gradually replacing the A/C mode secondary radar. Based on the comparative analysis inquiry format and response format of the secondary radar S mode were expounded, so as to know the characteristics and significance of S Mode secondary surveillance radar. Finally, use of S pattern in other fields was introduced.
