The buried tubes of the ground source heat pump system in three historic buildings of the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology(villa) were described, with analysis on running energy consumption and cost of the ground source heat pump. The results show that energy-saving rate of ground source heat pump is 27.3%, less than split air-condition, with payback period of 18.3 years.
