本文介绍了高强高模聚乙烯短纤维的性能、制备流程及应用领域.高强高模聚乙烯短纤维制作简便,和长丝相比耐切割性能不变,强度损失不大,可以用来制作各种纱线产品,有较广泛的应用领域.高强高模聚乙烯化学惰性强,和树脂的界面结合性很差,限制了其在复合材料领域的应用,但随着各种表面改性技术的发展,其界面问题已有所改善.

An introduction of HSHMPE staple fiber is given in this paper including the production process, properties and applications. HSHMPE staple fiber is easy to produced without much strength loss and also has the same cut-resistance property with HSHMPE filament. It has a wide application, such as composite material, architecture reinforced material and nonwovens. But there are some restrictions when used in composite material due to its strong chemical inertness and the poor interfacial adhesion between fiber and resins. However, its performance has been improved with the development of surface modification technology.
