Tuoying Reservoir irrigation zone is located in the Zuojiang river drought area, one of the three major drought areas of Guangxi, where there exists complex internal conditions and much external limits. In order to make full use of the limited water resources within this area and bring the maximum benefits, scientific determination of ir?rigation zone planning scope is necessary. The author discussed how to converge the scope planning of Tuoying Res?ervoir irrigation zone with the existing planning, other departments, other water source projects within the irrigation zone, how to make full use of the existing canal system, so as to ensure sustainable development of economy and so?ciety in the irrigation zone.
