针对工程土方量计算问题,提出了使用ArcGIS计算土方量,并简介其原理、方法及实现步骤;然后,以某水利工程为实例,对比了ArcGIS、断面法及南方cass栅格法计算结果,说明ArcGIS在计算小范围土方量的优越性,并提出了在使用中应注意的事项及在制作底图过程中独特的见解.

It is put forward to adopt ArcGIS for earth quantity calculation of project. A brief introduction was made on the principle, method and process of calculation. Taking a hydraulic project as example, the calculation results out of ArcGIS, cross-section method and Southern cass grid method respectively are compared, which demonstrate the advantages of ArcGIS in small-scope earth quantity calculation. The authors also present the issues in need of special attention during application and specific opinions about base drawing preparation.
