A novel polyoxyethylene dye as disperse dye has been developed. The synthetic method,the nonionic surfactant properties and the dyeing behavior of the azo disperse dye containing polyoxyethylene chain have been investigated. The average degree of polycondensation of ethylene glycol in the chain has closed relationship with the nonionic surfactant properties and the dyeing behaviors.
