The up-to-date progress of biochemical analysis for protein and peptide on the micro-fluidic chip was reviewed. Special attention was paid to three chip-based bio-analytical techniques, such as electrophoresis separation, enzyme assay and immunoassay, which focused on protein identification, protein activity and interrelation between protein and target molecule. The prospects of the potential application of micro-fluidic analytical methodology in the fields of proteomics and clinical diagnosis were prospected.
