The arsenic-vanadium polyoxometalate clusters have attracted widespread attention because of their intriguing structural diversity, excellent physical properties and potential applications. The synthetic strategy for this type of clusters is that organic ligands and transition-metal complex are directly connected with arsenic-vanadium-oxygen framework to get novel structures. This paper summarize synthetic methods and structural properties of the arsenic-vanadium polyoxometalate clusters and outline the potential development in the respect of studies on the clusters.
