设计的核心价值是“善”,而不完善是设计的本质属性之一,设计的驱动力来自不断发现既有设计存在着的不完善.设计具有服务、引导、探索3大功能,三者之间的比重结构,显示了设计的发展状况.中国现阶段应该倡导立足本土的、以引领设计为主的“橄榄形”的功能结构形态.

The core value of design is to make the design works perfect. Since the imperfect is one of the essential attributes of design, the incentive of design comes from continuously finding out the imperfect of the existed design works. Design has three main functions including servicing, guiding and exploring. And the proportions and structures of these three functions indicate the current situation of the development of the design profession. Our country should advocate the functional and morphological structures, in a rugby-ball type, which mainly focus on guiding the design.
