提出了一种新的三维数字校园建设的技术路线.在介绍相关技术背景的基础上,详细阐述此技术路线包含的两个关键部分,即基于KML的三维模型优化策略和基于虚拟地球应用程序接口的三维数字校园系统架构.最后将兰州大学三维数字校园系统作为实验案例,实现了在线访问、三维浏览、查询定位等功能,并且具有三维环境漫游流畅和系统开发便捷的特点.通过本系统取得的良好效果,证明了本文提出的基于KML和虚拟地球的三维数字校园建设技术路线切实可行,并在三维建筑物模型优化和轻量级的系统架构方面有很大优势.

A new technology roadmap was proposed for implementing a 3D digital campus system. After intro-ducing conceptions of relative knowledge background, this paper made an elaboration of two critical constituent parts of the technology roadmap, i.e. an optimization approach to 3D model building based on Keyhole Markup Language and system architecture for 3D digital campus based on virtual globe application programming inter-faces. Finally, a 3D digital campus system for Lanzhou University was been implemented as an experimental case, which can be visited online by web users and has rich functionalities, such as browsing in 3D scene, locating, searching for geographical information, etc. This 3D digital campus system is featured by a smooth roaming and expedient development. In conclusion, the technology roadmap based on KML and virtual globe technology for 3D digital campus system is feasible and practical and possesses advantages in the aspects of model optimization and lightweight architecture.
