水域监测是利用遥感影像进行水体特征识别的基础,为此利用国产环境减灾卫星为数据源,对鄱阳湖区域进行长期观测,监测水域覆盖范围,同时与传统水位-面积-库容关系曲线进行对比,实验表明卫星遥感技术监测湖库水域其结果与长期水文观测站点经验模型匹配关系良好,同时弥补传统水文观测以点带面的不足,能够切实辅助水利相关部门对水资源动态监测的需求.

Water monitoring is the base of water feature recognition by using remote sensing images. This paper uses domestic environmental disaster reduction satellite as data source to make long-term observations of the Poyang Lake for monitoring the change of lake area and contrasts the data with the conventional stage-area-storage capacity curve. The experiments show that the monitoring result of waters of lakes and reservoirs with satellite remote sensing technology is well match with the empirical model of the long-term hydrological observation. And the new method makes up the disadvantage of traditional hydrological observation method. This method can help water resources departments to dynamic monitoring of water resources more effectively.
