勘探的发展表现为储量增长的过程,这一过程受到了队伍、环境、资源等条件的影响.不考虑资源条件的差异,更容易寻找到勘探活动中的共性要素,可进一步归纳为勘探系统、勘探指导思想、勘探能力、勘探过程等.勘探系统是各要素之间相互关系的制度化的表现形式,是勘探发展的基础,对资源的战略需求、勘探过程中的不同阶段等决定了勘探系统的构成.勘探指导思想的科学性是形成较强勘探能力的关键,决定了勘探过程的工作质量.勘探各要素之间共同作用,决定了储量增长的特点,这就形成了勘探发展的基本规律.提出油气勘探发展规律这一概念,有利于对勘探活动的特点进行规律性分析.

The development of exploration is shown by the growth of reserves, and is influenced by team, envi-ronment and resource. It is easier to find the common elements (summarized as exploration system, guiding ide-ology, capability and process) in exploration if the differences of resource are not taken into consideration. The exploration system is an institutionalized correlation form among all of the essential factors. The structure of ex-ploration system is decided by the strategic demands for resource and the different stages of exploration. Explora-tion guiding ideology of science is the key to the formation of strong exploration capabilities, and determines the working quality of exploration process. The various elements work together, and decide the growth characteristics of the reserves. The concept of the basic regularity of petroleum exploration development is put forward, which might be conducive to the regularity analysis of the characteristics of exploration activities.
