In this paper, the operation principle of a three-dimensional laser scanning measurement is presented; the procedure and method for processing point cloud is given;the method for producing the three-dimensional of a building is described;and the implementation and effectiveness of the method are demonstrated. The result shows that space point cloud data obtained by this three-dimensional laser scanning technology can be used to establish the three-dimensional visual models for complex and irregular buildings quickly and easily. Its capability is not possessed in the current three-dimensional modeling software. And import to CAD software, what the people is familiar with, to extract buildings’various features and sectional view. Time-saving and convenient, this ability is not the traditional method for measuring can compare with.
