智能电网是我国电力工业发展的新方向,继电保护作为保障电网安全运行的第一道防线,需要积极适应电网变革.介绍了我国智能电网建设的特殊问题,包括跨区域交直流复杂电网、新能源电力的调度控制和就地平衡以及需求侧对电网的支持响应等方面.分析了超/特高压输电、电子器件渗透和网络拓扑异变对继电保护造成的影响,指出继电保护的几个关键研究方向以及新形势下研究应用广域保护的重要意义.最后对广域保护的概念、功能定位和系统构成模式进行讨论,并分析了广域保护主要算法的原理和特点.

Smart grid is a new development direction of power industry in China. As the first defense line of power system, relay protection must adapt the revolution of power grid. Firstly, some special problems of the smart grid construction are introduced. These problems include complex cross-regional AC/DC power grid, dispatching control and local balance of new energy power, and electric power demand side response, etc. The influential factors for relaying, such as UHV transmission, electronic devices penetration and variation of network topology, are also investigated. Several key research directions of relay protection are pointed out, and the importance of wide area protection is emphasized. Finally, the concept, function and system structure of wide area protection are discussed, and the principle and features are analyzed.
