Firstly, the paper introduces the vehicle detection method, and analyzes traffic parameters extraction technology based on virtual detector, object extraction and tracking. At the same time, the paper describes video-based traffic parameters extraction algorithms in recent years and their procedure. Finally, the paper analyzes the possible research directions of traffic parameter detection technology, problems and prospects.
